PERFUME-FREE
HERO pH solution - 400 ml.
All skin types, especially sensitive skin
Do you have dry, sensitive or irritated skin?
Or do you know that feeling of your skin feeling a bit tight when you get out of the bath?
The cause could be something as simple as your bath, hand wash, facial cleanser – or hand sanitiser. Water disrupts the skin’s pH balance and weakens your barrier – the skin’s natural shield – making it more vulnerable to dryness, itching and irritation.
The award-winning bestseller, HERO pH solution,is a clear, serum-like liquid that instantly stabilises your skin’s barrier and restores the optimal pH level.
When the pH level is balanced, your skin is balanced:
- The barrier is strengthened
- Moisture is retained
- Inflammation is reduced
- The skin is soothed and balanced
HERO is your step 0: Use as the first product after a bath, washing your hands or cleansing your face, and as needed throughout the day.
HERO prevents – and heals: Daily use will effectively help prevent moisture loss, skin sensitivity, dryness and damage from environmental factors, whilst HERO strengthens the skin’s natural ability to renew and regenerate. HERO helps create the best conditions for the skin’s healing process.
One HERO fits all – for the whole family. For the body, face and scalp.
HERO works – according to consumers

Why is the skin’s pH level important?
When the skin’s pH is in balance (around 5 – slightly acidic), it acts as a strong shield against dryness and irritation. Water, soap and hand sanitiser upset this balance, leaving the skin vulnerable. HERO helps to restore the ideal pH immediately, thereby strengthening the skin’s natural defences – the skin barrier.

pH and the skin
- The skin’s pH plays a crucial role in its condition, appearance and health
- Water, soap and chemicals cause the skin’s pH to exceed its natural, slightly acidic pH of around 5
- A normal bath alters the skin’s pH to an alkaline level – this disrupts the skin’s protective acid mantle. Depending on age, gender and skin type, it can take many hours for the skin’s optimal pH to be restored
- Skin with a pH that is too alkaline is often dry, tight, vulnerable, oily/acne-prone or irritated. Many skin problems originate from a damaged skin surface
- Scientific studies document the importance of a stabilised pH level in relation to wound healing, as well as in skin conditions and common dermatological disorders such as seborrhoeic dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea, eczema and acne.
What is pH?
pH is a numerical value used to measure the acidity of, for example, water, skincare products and the skin’s surface. On a scale of 0–14, pH values are measured in terms of acidity and alkalinity, where 7 is neutral, anything below 7 is acidic, and anything above 7 is alkaline. Balanced skin thrives best at a pH of around 5, which means that the skin is at its healthiest when it is slightly acidic. The body’s internal environment, on the other hand, functions best around the neutral value of 7.

Why is the skin’s pH important?
The skin’s pH plays a crucial role in its condition and appearance. The skin deserves the best possible care, and the most important foundation for achieving healthy skin is a stable pH level. Changes in pH affect enzyme activity and disrupt the natural cell-regenerating processes that are vital for the skin’s health.
The skin has a fine protective layer on its surface: the acid mantle, which consists of sebum and sweat from the skin’s many microscopic pores.

The acid mantle’s primary function is to protect the skin by maintaining an optimal balance of moisture, lipids and the skin’s natural bacterial flora. At the same time, it also protects against harmful external bacteria, fungal infections, UV rays and pollution. In this way, the acid mantle acts as an essential protective barrier and a “knight in shining armour” for the skin’s immune system.
