The effect of aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is an essential and important part of Karmameju’s DNA. The natural aromas from essential oils have a unique and holistic effect that both improves the condition of the skin and influences our mental wellbeing.

For example, lavender is known for being both soothing to the skin and calming to the mind. These oils are extremely bioactive, effective and concentrated, with a highly complex chemical composition, as each oil consists of hundreds of unique compounds.

At Karmameju, we are dedicated to aromachology, the study of how people are affected by scents. The sense of smell is essential and influences us more than many realise. It is directly linked to the limbic system, the brain’s centre for memory and emotions, which enables aromatherapy to influence our state of mind, energy levels and mood: They can make us feel more positive, relaxed, energetic, focused and much more.

Our three aromatherapy ranges – LOVING, CALMING and ENERGIZING – each have their own physical and emotional focus. They act as a ‘toolbox for emotions’, as each product is created with scents that can take the mind on a journey and help shift your mood to where you want it to be.

For example, if you’d like an uplifting boost first thing in the morning, choose the vibrant and uplifting ENERGIZING range. If you want to soothe your mind after a long day, try the relaxing and mild CALMING range, whilst LOVING acts as a positive and loving hug when you want to find balance or strengthen your connection to the earth.

With our fragrances, we’d like to inspire you to use aromatherapy through sensory skincare rituals – as a break from your busy daily life and as part of the vital self-care we all deserve and need.

We always recommend inhaling the aromatherapeutic scents of Karmameju products from the palms of your hands to enjoy the full fragrance experience and aromatherapeutic effect.
