Fancy joining the trend?

I’m really pleased to have incorporated Skinfood smoothies into my daily routine for breakfast. It works perfectly for me and my family, and it’s an easy way to ensure we’re getting plenty of good, nutritious food into our bodies every day.

I’d really like to help you get started with making smoothies, so we’ve been in the kitchen creating various smoothie recipes for you.

The aim was to create simple recipes that are easy to follow, using ingredients that are affordable and available in a standard supermarket. The result is four smoothie recipes, all packed with healthy and beneficial nutrients for your body and skin.

Take, for example, the recipe for this regenerating Vitamin A smoothie.

If you enjoy these smoothie recipes, you can start experimenting with a wider variety of ingredients, such as other fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, spices, herbs, powders, oils and liquids. There are no rules. You can add whatever you love. It’s all about trying things out! Perhaps you’ll need to sweeten your smoothies with plenty of fruit to start with, and then you can cut back on the sweetness once you’ve got used to the new flavour and texture.

Internal skincare

Smoothies are one of the easiest ways to consume plenty of beneficial nutrients that strengthen the body’s organs and functions. These nutrients are your internal beauty treatment for skin, hair and nails. There’s such a lovely sense of self-respect in starting the day with foods that nourish the body. I believe in striking a balance between health and enjoying life – without a hint of guilt. The so-called 80/20 balance. 80 per cent self-respect and 20 per cent of whatever takes your fancy.

All Karmameju smoothie recipes are good for the skin. When it comes to skincare, it’s quite simple – what’s good for our health is also good for the skin – the body’s largest organ.

I hope these recipes can help you incorporate more natural health into your everyday life. Enjoy!

All the best,

Mette
