An alkaline body is a happy body, and when the body is in balance, the skin thrives. Our alkaline smoothie contains ingredients that promote an alkaline digestive system, which is anti-inflammatory and BOOSTS the body with vitamins and minerals.

______

All skin types benefit from an alkaline smoothie – particularly delicate, sensitive and reactive skin – including damaged skin and other dermatologically challenged skin.

The recipe makes approx. ½ litre of smoothie

Fruit and vegetables can be used either frozen or fresh.

  • 1/3 of a cucumber
  • 1 handful of white cabbage
  • 1 dl peas
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 slice of pineapple, approx. 2 cm thick, peeled. Feel free to use the centre as well
  • The juice of ½ a grapefruit
  • ½ apple
  • 2 dl water, coconut water or cold herbal tea*
  • 2 tsp pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tsp linseed oil
  • 2 tsp olive oil

+ Optional: anti-inflammatory ginger, chilli or cayenne pepper, if you like a bit of a kick in your smoothie.

Method

Add all the ingredients to the blender, except the oil, and blend until you have a smoothie with no lumps.

Finally, add the linseed and olive oil, blend for a further 10 seconds, and the smoothie is ready to drink.
